Occasionally, due to the nature of an orthopaedic practice, it becomes necessary for us to change your appointment. This is primarily done if the doctor has been called out for an emergency and we ask you understanding in this matter. We try our very best to stay on schedule, however, if we become seriously delayed, we try to notify you. We know your time is valuable, too. If you are unable to keep your appointment, or are going to be late, please call the office as soon as possible. This courtesy allows us to be of service to other patients.

Medicare
The
Doctors of Florida Joint and Spine Institute, P.A. are participating
physicians of the Medicare Program. We will file Medicare for you. Some
of the secondary insurance company's are a cross-over by Medicare and
do not need any additional filing. In the event you need help filing
the secondary insurance, our billing department can help provide the
information you will need.
Insurance Contract Provider
The Doctors of Florida Joint and Spine Institute, P.A. participate in many insurance programs including workers compensation. Please contact your insurance program to see if we are a participating provider of your individual plan.
Insurance and Billing Questions
We have a Billing Department that is available to our patients Monday – Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and on Fridays from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Please call (863) 385-2222 ext.206 for Sebring and (863) 676-9523 ext. 202 for Winter Haven and Lake Wales.
Prescription Refills
Medication
requests are limited to office hours only. State law requires that medical
records must be available to the physician. The doctors normally answer
messages and prescription refills between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Do not
have your pharmacist call, as we are unable to refill a prescription
without the doctor's permission.
Phone Calls
When you call the office we will try to answer all your questions and concerns at the time of your call. If you have a billing problem ask to speak to the billing department. If you have a medical question ask to speak with the nurse. Please note the name of the person you spoke to, so if you need to follow up with additional calls you will know who to ask for as they will be familiar with your request.
