Since completing an orthopaedic surgery residency in Philadelphia, he has worked in both Florida and West Virginia as a highly-regarded physician. Dr. Alvarez currently resides in central Florida, serving as the orthopaedic surgeon and managing partner of Florida Joint and Spine Institute, P.A., a medical institute that provides an array of top-notch medical services ranging from advanced joint replacement therapy to medical procedures using the most advanced technology, computer navigation and robotic surgery.
He is board certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, licensed to practice in the state of Florida and holds an MD from the University of Florida College of Medicine. In addition to providing quality health care services with the singular aim of helping patients successfully recover, Dr. Alvarez has served as faculty and chair at the Annual World Congress of Orthopaedics, and is published in several medical journals.
